About Us

The Academic Affairs, Digital & Learning Transformation Directorate brings together six functions within DIT. These are:

  • Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance

  • Information Communication & Technology (ICT) Services
  • Learning Teaching and Technology Centre
  • Library Services
  • Staff Learning and Development

In bringing together these functions, our goal is to build on the skills and capabilities of our people to support DIT in achieving its strategic objectives. In particular we are focused on:

  • Supporting the ongoing development of DIT’s academic programmes through a pro-active quality assurance function and through transformative educational practice and scholarship.
  • Enabling on-line delivery of teaching and learning and student services through the development of the Digital Campus and ICT Services.
  • Enhancing library services, to our students and other users particularly with respect to the range of resources to support learning, teaching and research.
  • Enhancing the skills base of our academic and professional services staff though the LTTC and Staff Development functions
