Mr Ciarán Nevin
Ciarán Nevin is President of DIT Students' Union, having been a Student in the Institute for five years. In that time he has completed the Bachelor of Engineering Technology and Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering Programmes. From Leitrim originally, Ciarán now lives in County Kildare.
In 2006, Ciarán was a founding member of the DIT Comedy Society, which won a number of Societies Awards during his time as Chairman. Throughout his time in DIT, Ciarán has represented DIT Students on a number of levels, including nationally as delegate to the Union of Students of Ireland USI from 2005 to present. Ciarán has also represented DIT academically, winning a National Engineers Ireland Award for his project on Renewable Energy and has since carried out Research for industry on the domestic use of liquefied petroleum gas.
