Walking/cycling/driving

From North Quays

Passing Heuston Station onto Sarsfield Street and Ellis Quay. At the James Joyce Bridge turn left onto Blackhall Place, pass the Law Society buildings take the right hand turn for Brunswick St. (first turn after Kings St. North). At traffic lights turn right onto Grangegorman lower, continue for 500 meters to entrance.

From South Quays

Passing O’Connell Street bridge travel along Aston, Wellington, Essex, Wood, Merchants and Ushers Quays. At Ushers Island turn right onto the James Joyce Bridge. Continue onto Blackhall Place, pass the Law Society buildings take the right hand turn for Brunswick Street (first turn after Kings St. North). At traffic lights turn right onto Grangegorman lower, continue for 500 meters to entrance.

From North Circular Road

From Phibsborough take the North Circular Road (fork left at St. Peters church.). Continue on N.C.R. after Rosemount Rd. take left turn onto Rathdown Rd. Continue to Grangegorman lower, continue for 260 meters to entrance.

From side entrance directly onto Amiens Street/Talbot Street junction. Cross to Talbot St. and continue straight on to Earl St. North, Henry St, Mary St, Mary St. Little, right onto Church St, Left at North King St, after Smithfield turn right onto Georges Lane cross Brunswick St. to Grangegorman Lower. Continue for 500 meters to entrance.

Cycling from Connolly.

From side entrance directly onto Amiens Street/Talbot Street junction. Continue along Talbot Street to the Gardiner St. junction. Turn right and continue to Parnell St. Turn left. Continue to Capel Street. Turn right and continue to the junction with Bolton St. Turn left onto Bolton St/ North King St. After Smithfield turn right onto Georges Lane. Dismount and cross at traffic lights onto Grangegorman Lower. Continue for 500 meters to entrance.

Bus from Connolly.

From side entrance directly onto Amiens Street/Talbot Street junction. Cross to Talbot St. and continue straight on to O’Connell St. There is a 46a stop at junction of Henry St. (The Spire) Travel north bound for Phoenix Park. After passing Phibsborough town centre exit at bus stop 798 (280 N.C.R. - first stop after St. Peters Church). Walk straight ahead and turn left onto Rathdown Road. Continue for 500 meters to Grangegorman entrance.

Luas to Grangegorman.

Red line - Saggart/Tallaght – Connolly or The Point.

Smithfield Stop. 16-minute walk approx. to Grangegorman. Cross Smithfield square to Kings Street North. Turn right onto Georges Lane, cross at the traffic lights onto Grangegorman Lower. Continue for 500 meters to entrance.

Green line - Brides Glen St. Stephens Green.

From St. Stephens Green there are number of options; walk to Abbey St. for the Luas red line (Tallaght/Saggart) to the Smithfield stop. A 16-minute walk approx. to Grangegorman. Cross Smithfield square to Kings Street North. Turn right onto Georges Lane, cross at the traffic lights onto Grangegorman Lower. Continue for 500 meters to entrance.

Luas Cross City is a planned line linking the existing red and green lines (currently under construction and planned to open in Mid 2017). The proposed route is from St. Stephens green to Broombridge via Broadstone D.I.T. campus. A red/green line crossover point is planned for O’Connell St/Abbey St. This project is scheduled for completion in late 2017. www.luascrosscity.ie/

Route 4, 9, 83, 83a, 140. Walk to junction of Phibsborough Road N.C.R. At this crossroad heading towards St. Peters Church, follow the N.C.R. to the left of the church. Walk straight ahead and turn left onto Rathdown Road. Continue for 500 meters to Grangegorman entrance.

Route 37, 39, 39a, 70. Prussia St. Upper. Junction of Prussia St. N.C.R. Walk along N.C.R toward Phibsborough, passing the new Phoenix Care Centre, turn right onto Grangegorman Upper, continue to Grangegorman Lower, campus entrance is 200 meters further on.

Route 37, 39, 39a, 70. Manor St. Turn onto Brunswick Street North, continue to the traffic lights at Grangegorman Lower junction. Turn left onto Grangegorman Lower, continue for 500 meters to campus entrance.

Route 46a. N.C.R. Number 46a Bus from city centre (stops along North Circular Road and continues across Prussia Street towards Phoenix Park). After Phibsborough town centre exit at bus stop 798 (280 N.C.R. - first stop after St. Peters Church). Walk straight ahead and turn left onto Rathdown Road. Continue for 500 meters to Grangegorman entrance.

Route 120. Cabra Road. Stop No. 58 (outbound), stop no. 79 (inbound). Cabra Road/Charleville Road junction. Turn onto Charleville Road and continue to junction with N.C.R. Cross and turn onto either Rathdown Road or Grangegorman Upper. Continue for 500 meters to Grangegorman entrance.

DublinBikes have a number of bike stations in close proximity to all main DIT Campuses. The annual subscription fee is €10 for the Long-Term-Card. Also available is a three day ticket for €2. The first ½ hour of use is free, with an hourly charge after this initial 30 minute period.
