Staff from Enterprise Rent-A-Car joined DIT Access & Civic Engagement Office students and staff on the grounds of DIT Grangegorman on Friday, 11 December 2015 to acknowledge a key partnership between the two organisations.  Leslee O'Loughlin, Group HR Manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, along with Nicola Halpin, Enterprise's Talent Acquisitions Supervisor presented a cheque in the amount of €1,500 to DIT Access Officer Gráinne Burke and DIT Director of Student Services, Dr Noel O'Connor to support the DIT Access & Civic Engagement Office's "Access 2 College" programme, which is aimed at encouraging secondary school students from backgrounds of socio-economic disadvantage to apply to college.

This gift is simply one example of the partnership between ERAC and the DIT Access Office.  O'Loughlin has been involved with the DIT Leadership Launchpad programme for 2 years, delivering skills-based workshops for Access Student Leaders and Peer Mentors.  The Access Office and ERAC look forward to continuing to work together on delivering an Interview Boot Camp, with expertise from the DIT Careers Office.

DIT Access Officer, Gráinne Burke, said "We are delighted to partner with Leslee, Nicola and the team at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  Enterprise is clearly committed to the promotion of diversity in the workplace.  We look forward to delivering future initiatives which will enhance the experiences of both DIT students and the Enterprise Rent-A-Car staff team."
