Stationery
The regulations governing Stationery include:
- Notepaper
- Compliment slips
- Fax cover sheets
- File covers & other folders
- Labels
- Envelopes
Text in the Irish language:
- Shall appear first
- Shall not be less prominent, visible or legible
- Lettering shall not be smaller in size
- Shall communicate the same information
- Shall not be abbreviated unless a word in English is abbreviated
This Regulation shall not:
- during the period beginning 1 March 2009 and ending on 1 March 2011, apply to stationery that, immediately before the first-mentioned date, was in the possession of the public body concerned, or
- apply to stationery used by an implementation body for corresponding with persons outside the State.
These regulations come into effect on the following dates:
- 1 March 2009: New stationery
- 1 March 2011: For stationery already in the public body’s possession on 1 March 2009
- 1 March 2013: For stationery requiring a computer programme change to provide the stationery in Irish
