Welcome to the Department of Architectural Technology, Dublin School of Architecture, DIT, Bolton Street.
The Department of Architectural Technology was created in 1996 and is the only academic department in Ireland dedicated solely to serving the educational needs of the professional architectural technologist. >> See department profile
Our mission is to become a centre of excellence for the undergraduate, post graduate and CPD education of the professional Architectural Technologist, recognising its unique position alongside the Department of Architecture and Urban Design within the School of Architecture, and exploiting links with related departments and programmes in the Faculty of the Built Environment and other faculties in Dublin Institute of Technology.

The DIT architectural technology programme has been running since 1963 and is the oldest such course in Ireland. Our studio-based programme has been adopted as the standard model for architectural technology education by all such programmes in Ireland over the years. Our programme is one of only two programmes accredited by the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI).

The DT175b BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology RPL progression programme has been designed to enable graduates of the DIT Level 7 Diploma in Architectural Technology degree undertake a modified final year of part time study combined with structured reflection on learning achieved through architectural technology practice.
