ADMISSION CRITERIA
The DT175a BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology full time progression programme has been designed for graduates of the DIT Level 7 modular Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology ordinary degree programme.
The DT175a programme is open to the following categories of applicants:
- Graduates of the DIT modular Level 7 BSc (Ordinary) Architectural Technology programme, with Merit or Distinction, who wish to progress directly to the progression year. These candidates will be given priority over others, with ranking based on academic performance.
- Graduates of the DIT Diploma in Architectural Technology and non-modular BSc (Ordinary) Architectural Technology, with Merit or Distinction, or following two years relevant practice experience.
- Graduates of an RIAI-accredited Diploma in Architectural Technology or BSc (Ordinary) Architectural Technology programme other than DIT, following two years relevant practice experience, and subject to an admission interview.
- RIAI Architectural Technician members, who have completed the Architectural Technician Entry Examination, subject to an admission interview.
- Graduates of non-professionally accredited Level 7, or equivalent, degree and diploma programmes in architectural technology, following seven years minimum relevant practice experience and subject to an admission interview.
- Graduates of construction related degree and diploma programmes, following seven years minimum relevant practice experience and subject to an admission interview.
- Graduates with equivalent qualifications and experience subject to an admission interview.
Applicants for entry to the DT175a 1 year full-time progression programme must apply directly to DIT before 31 March each year, indicating on their application form their qualifications, any relevant experience, and their motivation in wishing to undertake the BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology degree programme.
