PROGRESSION: ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY
The mission of the Department of Architectural Technology is to become a centre of excellence for the undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD education of the professional architectural technologist.
Central to this mission is the provision of Level 8 honours Bachelors degrees in the discipline of architectural technology, a special purpose practice-based Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Architectural Technology (PG Cert AAT), a Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Research and Development (PG Dip Tech R&D) and a number of Level 9 MSc degree programmes in areas of architectural technology specialism such as Conservation Technology, Sustainable Architectural Technology, and Information Management Technology (MSc (Conservation Technology) etc).
The PG Cert AAT will be available as a stand alone qualification, with only some graduates choosing to continue to the taught PG Dip Arch Tech, and following that to one of the research based specialist masters degrees.

Progression from Level 8 Bachelors Degree (RPL) to Level 9 Masters Degree
Opportunities will also exist for BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology graduates to progress to various other architectural technology related postgraduate diploma and masters degree qualifications in educational institutions in Ireland, the UK, the EU and elsewhere.
