We have invited all CAO applicants for the DT101 and DT175 programmes to attend in five groups from 09.30 to 15.30. Each group session will be 90 minutes and will include the following:

  • - Interactive Building Information Modelling (BIM) demonstration;
  • - Studio project experience;
  • - Lecture presentation with questions and answers;

All DT101 and DT175 CAO applicants have been assigned a time slot by email. Click the following links for each group schedule:

If you wish to attend but have not recieved an email from the school, please email aileen.mullane@dit.ie

For DT101 Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) applicants:

The DT101 Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) admission process requires applicants to sit a suitability test and attend an interview with portfolio prior to the Leaving Certificate examinations. The suitability test will take place in April and the interviews will take place in May. You will receive further details on these in due course.

To help applicants understand the suitability test and to prepare for the interview with portfolio, we invite you to come to an open day in the Dublin School of Architecture, Bolton Street Linenhall building. The open day will provide an opportunity for applicants to meet students and staff and get to know our school. We will explain the suitability test and interview with portfolio, with examples of portfolios of students who were successful in gaining admission to the programme. We will give a tour of the Linenhall building and provide an opportunity to engage in a studio design project to give you a sense of what it is like to study architecture.

For DT175 BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology applicants:

Admission to the DT175 BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology programme does not require a suitability test or interview with portfolio and is based on Leaving Certificate CAO points only. However we strongly recommend that applicants come to the Dublin School of Architecture where you will have the opportunity to meet students and staff of our DT175 BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology programme. We will show some architectural technology student work so that you might understand the difference between the disciplines of architecture and architectural technology which we hope will assist you in making your final choices.
