Hazel Coonagh photograph wins Metro world title, December 2009
Final Year student on the BA Design (Visual Communication) Hazel Coonagh won the Metro Global Photo Challenge competition. Her entry, titled 'No Future' was chosen by an international jury from over 130,000 submissions in three categories. She was announced as the winner in the People category. The competition, organised by the worldwide Metro International newspaper, is the world's biggest online photo competition. Hazel's prize includes top of the range photographic equipment as well as a trip for two from a selection of 100 cities, a mentorship with Irish photographer Paul Kelly and an invitation to the Fotografia festival in Rome curated by Marco Delogue.
