The Work Placement Programme is an integral part of the learning and development of all our students who take a level 8 programme within the School of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

On completion of their degree programme all students will have an honours degree in Chemistry with a strong emphasis on the applied aspects of the discipline. All our students have extensive experience of working in a laboratory environment with hands-on proficiency in wet chemical techniques and using analytical equipment including HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher, FTIR and RAMAN. In addition students have a working knowledge of the requirements of the regulated environment of the Pharma, Biopharma and Medtech industry (for example:- GMP, GLP, safety requirements). In general our students are paid while on placement.

Students have worked  in QC and QA functions in both the public and private sector but are flexible to work in any science based activity including regulatory affairs.

A minimum of 6 months starting on the 1st of February. Student can work up until the end of August.
