Professor Tom Cooney, DIT College of Business is the Faculty Adviser to the very active Enactus Society in DIT. Professor Cooney said he was delighted that the students reached the Grand Final for the first time this year.. “Enactus asks third-level students in Ireland and internationally to use their entrepreneurial ability to improve communities.
Our students worked on a number of projects, supporting people in a disadvantaged position. Their primary project was working with the South Dublin Travellers Group on an initiative that aimed to raise funds towards providing mental health supports to Travellers. We are very proud of the work carried out by the students and we are delighted that it was recognised by winning the Spirit of Enactus Award”.
