Three lucky DIT College of Business students were awarded bursaries from KPMG to represent Enactus Ireland at the Enactus World Cup 2018. Lia Joe and Jeff Otengo, both 2nd year Business and Management students and Martin McGrane Smith, a 3rd year Marketing student travelled to Silicon Valley this week to join Enactus Ireland in supporting roles at the Enactus World Cup 2018.
Enactus Ireland is a charitable organisation which develops future talent by enabling third level students to create, and implement, social entrepreneurial projects which positively impact our local and global communities. Students are trained, guided and supported by educators and business leaders, as well as using their innovative and creative energies to positively change the lives of others, students also develop the leadership, interpersonal and practical skills necessary for the workplace.

As part of the Enactus programme, an annual national competition takes place where students from Ireland's top Universities showcase their social entrepreneurial projects. Each year, a national champion goes on to represent Ireland at the prestigious Enactus World Cup, this year DCU were the lucky team chosen to present their project and go head-to-head with 35 other countries.
The remaining universities of Enactus Ireland united together as Team Ireland for the Enactus World Cup. As part of the Irish delegation, DIT students are working on various project session and workshops while also providing information on the work of Enactus Ireland to attendees. In particular, Jeff Otengo will chair the world culture fair committee and is tasked with writing a blog on his experience.
Best of Luck from DIT College of Business.
