MSc International Business Seminar Series- Austria from an International Business Context

An integral part of the MSc International Business is the seminar series which runs in the 2nd Semester throughout January and February. The eclectic range of multi-disciplinary seminars is delivered by a range of visiting academics and practitioners, as well as TU Dublin College of Business faculty members, each seminar deals with a topic at the cutting edge of the discipline of International Business.
The first of the MSc International Business Seminar Series commences on Tuesday 29th of January as we take a look at Austria from an international business context. We are honoured to welcome to our university, a visiting group of students and lecturers from MCI Management Centre, Innsbruck, Austria and all interested TU Dublin staff and students are welcome to attend our seminar series which is hosted at TU Dublin- City Campus, College of Business, Aungier street Campus on the 5th floor- room 5-050.
We are delighted to be joined for the morning session by Ursula Tipp, Founding Partner of TippMcKnight Solicitors, Dublin. Ursula will speak on the topic of GDPR in Ireland, Germany and Austria – a cross-cultural analysis”. For the afternoon session, Dr. Josef Treml, Austrian Trade Commissioner for Ireland- at Advantage Austria and Daniel Degischer, Assistant Professor, MCI Innsbruck will present on the topic of “Business culture in Austria and Ireland: a comparison”.

Ursula Tipp, founding partner of TippMcKnight Solicitors
Ursula Tipp is a founding partner of TippMcKnight Solicitors a full service law firm based in Dublin. Ursula is qualified both as a German Rechtsanwältin and an Irish solicitor, and has practised in a number of law firms across Europe, EU institutions and a large international company. She has experience in a broad range of commercial areas that complemented her extensive knowledge in the areas of taxation and investment into Ireland. She combines this extensive network with her business acumen to help create business opportunities for her clients. She is fluent in English, French and German and is a regular speaker at legal and tax conferences in Europe and the United States

Dr. Josef Treml, Austrian Trade Commissioner for Ireland- at Advantage Austria
Daniel Degischer, Assistant Professor, MCI Innsbruck
Dr Josef Treml completed his PhD on European Competition Law at the University of Vienna and holds an MBA from the IE Business School, Madrid. In his career, Josef has vast experience over the years in consulting and advisory for Austrian companies in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mexico, Central America, Cuba, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Dr. Treml is now Austrian Trade Commisioner for Ireland- at Advantage Austria, Austria's official trade promotion agency with 110 offices in over 70 countries world-wide, providing a broad range of intelligence and business development services for Austrian companies and their international business partners.
Daniel Degischer studied political economy and law in Innsbruck and Taipei and received a diploma in political economy from the University of Innsbruck. Daniel is currently holding a position as Assitant Professor at the MCI Innsbruck.
