Visiting Professor Dr. Monika Huesmann shares key research at College of Business

College of Business were honoured to host special guest lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Monika Huesmann from the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
Prof. Dr. Monika Huesmann is Professor of Organisation, Personnel and Information Management at the Berlin School of Economics and Law since 2011. In addition to her studies of business administration and her degree as a certified accountant, she also completed training as a curative educator and educator and also worked in management positions for several years in all professions. Directly before the professorship, she worked as a human resources officer, project leader and executive in various organisations. Furthermore, she has been working as a personnel and organisational consultant in various organisations for many years.
Fourth Year Human Resource Management students were invited to hear from visiting guest lecturer, Professor Huesmann and enjoy insights into her key research interests in the areas of Diversity Management, Flexible Working Arrangements, Recruitment, Human Resource Development, and Industrial Relations.
Commenting on the sessions Dr. Mary Prendergast, Programme Chair and Assistant Head, School of Management, noted ‘Collaborating with the Berlin School of Economics and Law provides an international context for our students, as one of the leading dedicated Human Resource Management degree programmes in Ireland we ensure students are supported by lecturers who specialise in the discipline and who are also strongly engaged with industry through their research’.
