DIT Student Diary/ handbook Diary Cover Image Competition

The winner will have their Image used in the cover design of DIT Student Handbook/diary 2010/11.
The winner will also receive €300 cash prize

1. Theme: What are you Wild about at DIT?

2. Catchphrase / Strapline: "Get Wild about DIT!"

3. Colour Themes: White and Black Zebra print background

4. Brief an image/photo suitable for either an A5/A6 diary cover. The Diary will form part of the induction pack

5. The design should be submitted in either a .jpg / .eps format suitable for print with a 300 dpi Resolution.

7. The design can be a photograph, image, symbol or picture that represents your favourite aspect of DIT. ‘What are you wild about at DIT!’

10. The closing date is 12 noon on Friday, March 31st 2010.

11. The winner shall have their image used in the cover design of DIT Student Handbook/Diary 2009/10. The winner will also receive €300 cash prize

12. All entries are to be submitted by email to rachel.oconnor@dit.ie by 12 noon Wednesday March 31st.Your email should include the following details:a. Nameb. Postal addressc. Email addressd. Telephone number

13. Only entries received before 12 noon on Wednesday March 31st will be considered.

The Terms

• You must be a registered DIT student.

• In entering the competition you hereby warrant that the design entered is an original design created solely by the entrant.

• The competition is open to all registered DIT Students.

• To enter the competition you must submit your entry on or before 12 noon on the Wednesday March 31st 2010. Under no circumstances will entries accepted after this period be considered valid entries for the competition.

• It is the responsibility of the winners to ensure that any necessary permissions needed to enter the design into the competition are obtained

•  Campus Life will maintain the sole right to the image and may exploit it when or where the office deems it fit.

• Entry into the competition implies acceptance of these rules.

• Entries received which contain images and subjects of a defamatory, derogatory or aspects which may be considered offensive will be disqualified from the competition. Images which portray illegal or anti-social behaviour including overindulgence or underage consumption of alcohol will be disqualified from the competition.

• Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.

• All entries are accepted as original works. Campus Life is not responsible or liable for any breach of copyright.

• Judges decision will be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

• DIT reserves the right to alter or substitute the advertised prizes with prizes of equal value.

• Prize winners may be requested to participate in publicity.

• DIT Campus Life will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries. Campus Life will take no responsibility for any entries that are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid

• Any breach of these competition rules by an entrant will void their entry.

• Campus Life reserve the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, the competition is not capable of being conducted as specified
