DIT Student Satisfaction Survey 2008. If you have an opinion make sure it’s heard!
What do you think of the student experience in DIT? DIT Campus Life and the Retention Office, with the assistance of DITSU, are carrying out a major survey. We want your opinion, so we can make the necessary changes to make DIT a great place to come and study. There are great cash prizes too, to give you a starting fund for your summer break (see FAQs).
The current survey is currently underway – go to Surveygizmo to fill out the web-based survey.
For more information about the survey, and how it will be used, see the Frequently Asked Questions below.
FAQs
What is the DIT Student Satisfaction Survey?
The Survey will ask all students - part-time / full-time / undergraduate / post-graduate - about their experience of DIT. The questions cover all areas that make up the student experience, like the library; sports; catering; academic feedback; administration; student support services; transport. The survey takes 15 minutes to fill out, and we're aware that your time is valuable. With that in mind, everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a draw.
Prize Fund: The First Prize of €500 will go to the first student who is pulled out of the hat. After that there will be another six €100 winners, one from each faculty. The draw will take place the week after the survey is closed on 31 may 2008.
We urge you to fill out the survey, as we can't change things for the better, unless we know what's wrong!
What will be done with the results?
Over the summer we will analyse the survey results, and present the results to the DIT President; DITSU; the Directorate; and the Faculty Boards. We will also publish a report on the major issues raised and list what actions we have taken to remedy problems which have been raised.
When will the survey take place?
The survey is open now at http://dit.studentsatisfaction08.sgizmo.com/ . The survey will close on 31/05/08. The survey takes 15 minutes to fill out.
Will my answers be kept anonymous?
Yes, all answers will be kept anonymous and no one will be able to identify you from the answers you have given. We ask for your Student i.d. number, but that is purely for the purpose of the draw to contact the winners of the prizes.
I want to comment on an issue that wasn't covered in the survey.
If you feel that the survey has not covered an important area, or if you feel you would like to comment on the survey itself, or some of the areas covered by the survey, please feel free to e-mail us at campuslife@dit.ie. If you would like us to respond to the issue which you have raised, please say so, and we'll reply to you as quickly as possible.
