Sexually Transmitted Infections Screening
STI Screening is available to all full time DIT students and apprentices. We provide STI screening for heterosexual, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students.
Screens take place in the Student Health Centre, Aungier Street.
A female nurse chaperone is available for female STI screenings.
Even one episode of unprotected sex/burst condom etc can put you at risk of an STI. Some infections have no signs or symptoms and can go on to cause long term problems if not detected.
It costs €20 for the screen, any subsequent consultations and treatment if required.
A refund will be given to you if you provide at least 24 hours notice of cancellation by calling either of the Health Centres.
To make an appointment please come in person to reception in either of the Health Centres. You must specify when making the appointment that it is for STI screening.
Remember, all consultations at the Health Centre are completely confidential.
