General Information

Welcome to this brief guide on accommodation options available to you if you are considering coming to college with us here at the Technological University Dublin. You are joining TU Dublin at a very exciting time. Over the next few years the TU Dublin City Campus will be merging onto one location at the TU Dublin Grangegorman Campus.  This will be joined with the TU Dublin Blanchardstown Campus and TU Dublin Tallaght Campus.  This will offer students the unique experience of studying at a newly developed third level University.

From September 2021, TU Dublin will provide student residencies on the new Grangegorman Campus.  The student residences will offer a range of housing formats from 6 bed and 3 bed apartments to private studio/family units.  Ground level spaces will provide dining, social and study lounges and a variety of shops.

Accommodation options available

For many people, coming to college means living away from home for the first time. We understand that you would like to live in a place that is clean, modern, comfortable, safe, and not too expensive, within easy reach of all your activities and preferably with other students who share the same lifestyle as your own. Depending on your circumstances and/or preferences you may chose campus style or private rented accommodation.

Please be advised that TU Dublin does not inspect or recommend accommodation and the University is not responsible for the accuracy of any information provided by suppliers.

Campus Style Accommodation

This accommodation is purpose built to suit student’s needs.  Each complex has their own layout but generally, students have single or twin rooms’ and share a kitchen and living area. The residences are safe and normally provide 24 hour security.  This allows students to live independently in a well-managed and safe environment designed with their needs in mind.

Block Booked Campus Style Accommodation

Until our new student residences at TU Dublin Grangegorman Campus are complete, TU Dublin have block booked bed spaces with a number of external providers of campus style accommodation.  These providers give preferences to TU Dublin students while accommodation is available.  Providers try to place students of similar courses and TU Dublin campuses together. TU Dublin has a residential assistant in some of the larger complexes.

Alternative Campus Style Accommodation

There are several other campus style residences suitable for TU Dublin students which have not been block booked by the University.  Further information is available on the link below.
