Child Care Support Fund - 2012/13

The Child Care Support Fund (financed by the Higher Education Authority and the EU) is a scheme which may provide a subsidy towards the cost of child care during the academic year to a limited number of whole-time students who are parents. As these students are usually entitled to some state benefits and allowances, this scheme is means-tested. This year the scheme is paid only to registered childminding services eg. creche or a registered childminder. If a student has an arrangement with a non registered childminder you can apply for assistance under the general student assistance scheme.
