Last year Idea Camp was a runaway success so this summer DIT is again running Ireland’s first ever creativity summer programme for children on our city centre campus in Grangegorman, Dublin.
It runs from the 4th - 15th of July 2016, and is for children aged 8 to 12 years. Over the two 1-week programmes our aim is to inspire children to use and embrace creativity every day.
During the programme we will be using creative play to explore five subjects in which DIT excels internationally — food, game design, media, music and art and design.
The children will be working with our most innovative tutors and experiencing an exciting week of creativity in a university setting.
Places are limited, so if you are interested in booking please do not delay. From the initial interest we expect to be over subscribed.
About Idea Camp
In 2015 — Dublin Institute of Technology formed Idea Camp — the academy of creative play. It is an initiative of the College of Arts and Tourism.
Its mission is to nurture and promote life-long creativity as an essential element of a well-rounded education.
It is grounded in a philosophy of using ‘creative play’ to unlock creativity. Idea Camp is academically supervised by Dr Kevin Lalor, Head of the DIT school of Languages, Law and Social Sciences.
