Transcript of Results Request

*** PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SECTION RELATES TO STUDENTS REQUESTING TRANSCRIPTS FOR THE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT IN BOLTON STREET ONLY***

An academic transcript of results provides students with a comprehensive history of all examination results and the overall award classification obtained for a particular programme studied at DIT (for a job application, visa application, college application etc).

The Examinations Office is responsible for issuing end of year result transcripts to all students.

  • Transcripts are important documents and all students should ensure that they are retained safely for future reference
  • Transcripts are only issued at the end of an academic year (not after each semester)
  • Results are issued by email to all registered students email accounts (at the end of each semester)
  • It is a students responsibility to ensure that they have received their results.

  • How much does it cost?

The fee is €15, payable by cheque, bank draft or postal order and can be returned to the Examinations Office (Room 316, DIT, Bolton Street, Dublin 1).

  • How long does it take for a transcript request to be processed?

It should be noted that due to the Examinations Office busy work schedule, the generation of a transcript request may take at least a minimum of 20 days to be processed.  Transcripts are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please note that transcripts which require research from older records will take longer to process.

NB. Students should note that historical transcripts of results are not readily available during examination periods in the collge due to the workload during these times.  Whilst every effort is made to respond to all requests, it is not always possible to issue transcripts during January/February & May/June of each acadmic session.

  • How are transcripts sent?

Academic transcripts can be posted (to any address you specify) or collected from the Examinations Office.  Transcripts can also be emailed (in PDF format) while the original hard copy can be posted or collected.  Please state your preference on the application form by ticking the appropriate box.  It is also possible for transcripts to be posted in a sealed envelope (for screening or credentials purposes).  Please state this on the application form if you require this.
