Siemens "Innovative Engineers" Competition 2005
Congratulations to Keith Colton, from the school of Manufacturing Engineering, who won the DIT section of the Siemens "Innovative Engineers" Competition 2005. The competition was held between Manufacturing, Mechanical and Structural Engineering final year honours degree students on Thursday, the 28th of April. Keiths excellent project was on the Redesign of Olympic Archery Recurve Riser. His project supervisor and mentor was Bill Reddington. The national final is to be held at the IEI Clyde Road on Tuesday, the 21st of June.
The Siemens format has changed this year, and there is also a two person project entered. The students involved are John Donlan and Stephen Curran. Their project is the Ball and Beam system (A difficult Control Project). Their supervisor and mentor is Jim Conlon, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.
