Patricia O'Byrne


Patricia is a senior lecturer in DIT School of Computer Science, currently active in agri-analytics research as part of a multi-disciplinary team involving Computing, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Health Science. She has been programme chairperson for the BSc in Computer Science (Infrastructure) for a number of years. She has been heavily involved in promotional activities to encourage second level students to study Computer Science. Prior to joining the School of Computer Science, Patricia worked in industry for a number of years as a programmer and system designer and in-house trainer.
