Programme Description
The Bachelor of Music degree programme is designed for music students seeking to train full-time to a professional level as performers (both classical and irish traditional), as instrumental or vocal teachers, as composers and musicologists. All students participate in a diverse programme of concerts, recitals and stage performances which are supported and enhanced by a comprehensive academic content.
This four-year programme offers students a common core of subjects in years 1 and 2. In years 3 and 4 they choose a strand which enables them to concentrate on one of the following:
- Performance
- Pedagogy (Instrumental/Vocal Teaching)
- Composition
- Irish Traditional Music
- Musicology
