Programme Outline
In years 1 and 2, there is a major emphasis on performance which is combined with supporting academic study, including various subjects such as composition techniques, history of music, aural training and an introduction to education studies and music technology. Participation in ensembles is an integral part of the programme.
In years 3 and 4, students will concentrate on the range of subjects attached to one of the strands on offer, as well as continuing their performance study and participation in ensembles.
In addition to the primary subjects included under each strand, students will choose from the following list:, composition techniques, orchestration, arrangement, conducting, philosophy, psychology, recording editing and production or technology in composition.

Any person who can demonstrate a strong commitment and aptitude for musical study.
