DIT Conservatory at Creative Connexions Festival, Spain/Ireland

DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama is delighted to be involved as partner at Creative Connexions Festival in Sitges, Barcelona and Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, showcasing high quality Irish and Catalan culture.

Performing at the festival this year are:

DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble: Tanya Murphy (traditional violin), Eilís Lavelle (harp), Aimee Farrell Courtney (bodhrán/percussion)

Voice and Piano:  Shauna Buckingham (soprano) and Padhraic Ó Cuinneagain (piano)

Creative Connexions is a three-day, two-country, multi-venue showcase of Irish and Catalan Culture. This unique new event will be delivered by Internationally recognised Irish and Catalan writers, poets, artists, composers and performers through exhibitions, readings, lectures, workshops, film and performances.

Creative Connexions seeks to make creative connections between both cultures and will provide a showcase of high quality Irish and Catalan culture during festivals in Sitges, Barcelona and Dún Laoghaire, Dublin in 2013.
