Continuing Education
The Conservatory offers part-time students over 18 the opportunity to avail of tuition in a variety of instruments in combination with an appropriate level of musicianship tuition. Access to some instruments may be limited. All students can apply for a place in one of the Conservatory’s many ensembles.
How to Apply
Application forms for part-time study are available from January each year and can be obtained from the General Office in either the Rathmines Road or Chatham Row buildings. The closing date for receipt of forms is usually March of each year and auditions normally take place in April for entry the following September. Applications received after the closing date may also be considered if places are available and a second round of auditions is usually held in early September to facilitate these candidates.
Please note that each Department issues a specific application form which is used for all part-time applicants (both Junior Conservatory and Continuing Education)

Monday 10 September 2012: Junior Conservatory and Continuing Education classes commence
Saturday 27 October to Friday 2 November 2012: Mid-term break (Classes resume on Saturday 3 November)
Saturday 15 December 2012: Last day of classes before Christmas Holidays
Monday 7 January 2013: Classes resume
Saturday 2 March 2013: Open Day for Junior Conservatory and Continuing Education applicants
Monday 18 March 2013: Public Holiday - No classes
Saturday 23 March 2013: Last day of classes before Easter Break
Monday 8 April 2013: Classes resume
Monday 6 May 2013: Public Holiday - No classes
Saturday 1 June 2013: Last day of classes Junior Conservatory and Continuing Education before Summer Holidays
