Edward Holly

Edward Holly studied piano with Frank Heneghan in Dublin and Christopher Elton in London and graduated from Trinity College Dublin and DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama with an Honours Bachelor in Music Performance in 1992.

He received an honours Masters’s Degree in Music Performance from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth and also holds a Masters in Philosophy in Music and Media Technologies from Trinity College Dublin.

Edward has been a piano finalist in the Lombard and Ulster Music Foundation Award and has achieved numerous first prizes for repertoire playing in Feis Ceoil and Feis Mhaitiú.

He has performed in all of Ireland’s major recital venues, broadcast on RTÉ Television and Radio and given recitals in the Moscow Conservatory and Moscow State University, Russia. Edward’s career as a solo pianist has also taken him to Italy, America and England.

He is much in demand for his accompanying, teaching, conducting and CD production skills.

He has acted as official accompanist for Feis Ceoil and Arklow Music Festival. He is also Piano Accompanist for Undergraduate and Post Graduate Performance students at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama.
