‘Scoring History’ is a series of four concerts curated by internationally-acclaimed composer, Ian Wilson, and featuring DIT Conservatory’s ensemble-in-residence, The Vanbrugh Quartet. The concerts take audiences on a journey through 200 years of the string quartet canon. Focused on four individual themes - Folk, Distant Lands, Conflict and Solitudes - each of the four concerts is devised to “connect with some of the most important and transformative events in human history,” says Wilson. The series promises world-class performances of landmark pieces in fascinating combinations including works by Schubert, Dvorák, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Wilson and more. Each concert will be introduced by Ian Wilson. This series marks the start of a three-year residency at the National Concert Hall by the Vanbrugh Quartet, supported by DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama.
