‘Scoring History’ is a series of four concerts curated by internationally-acclaimed composer, Ian Wilson, and featuring DIT Conservatory’s ensemble-in-residence, The Vanbrugh Quartet. The concerts take audiences on a journey through 200 years of the string quartet canon. Focused on four individual themes - Folk, Distant Lands, Conflict and Solitudes - each of the four concerts is devised to “connect with some of the most important and transformative events in human history,” says Wilson. The series promises world-class performances of landmark pieces in fascinating combinations including works by Schubert, Dvora┬┤k, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Wilson and more. Each concert will be introduced by Ian Wilson. This series marks the start of a three-year residency at the National Concert Hall by the Vanbrugh Quartet, supported by DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama.
