January 23-25: Terminal One

Terminal One is a new piece of theatre exploring the dynamics of travel. What compels us to leave? What does it mean to arrive in an unknown place? What happens in between? And how are we changed when we are ‘away’?

Terminal One has been created by six actors from Columbia College Chicago and six actors from the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. Progress has been shared remotely via Skype, Facebook and Dropbox.  The full cast will meet face-to-face for the first time in Dublin during the last week of rehearsals to put the final piece together. Immediately after the Dublin performances, the group will travel to Chicago to perform it there.

Co-directed by Brian Shaw (Columbia) and Peter McDermott (DIT Conservatory), this performance project is itself an expression of reaching into the unknown: the exciting, scary dynamics of travel and exchange.
