As we approach the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising of 1916, the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama presents a selection of rehearsed readings, songs and poetry which inspired, and was inspired by, the insurrection in Dublin. ‘A Terrible Beauty – Echoes of Easter 1916’ was developed through a collaborative process involving the writer Peter Sheridan, director Mary Moynihan and researcher Lisa Walsh, with input from first-year students of the BA in Drama (Performance) at the Conservatory. The work is also read by first-year drama students at the Conservatory.
