The DIT Choral Society and DIT Chamber Choir celebrate the 75th Anniversary of DIT Cathal Brugha Street with a concert on Wednesday April 20th in the stunning surroundings of St Mary's Pro-Cathedral. The DIT Choral Society, a choir of 40 singers conducted by Simon Harden, perform Vivaldi’s much-loved ‘Gloria’, accompanied by a chamber ensemble. The DIT Chamber Choir, conducted by Bernie Sherlock and the 2016 winners of three prestigious choral competitions at the ESB Feis Ceoil, perform works by Palestrina, Cavendish, Monteverdi, Busto and Swider, along with world premieres by Oisín Walsh-Peelo (‘An Luas’) and Mark Armstrong (‘Tread Softly’). ‘Tread Softly’ will be accompanied by renowned harpist and DIT Conservatory lecturer, Denise Kelly. Admission is free and all are welcome! This concert is presented in collaboration with St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, DIT Cathal Brugha Street and the DIT Chaplaincy.
