Belgian harpist Anneleen Lenaerts is one of the leading soloists of her instrument and is the Principal Harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic. Her solo performances include recitals at the Wigmore Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg, Bozar in Brussels and at festivals such as Rheingau, Lockenhaus and Aspen Music Festival. She has performed as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Bavarian Radio, the Mozarteum Orchestra, the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum Basel, the Brussels Philharmonic, and the National Orchestra of Belgium amongst others. Her recitals have been recorded by BBC 3, Radio France Musique and Deutschlandfunk. In this masterclass, Anneleen will work with students from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama’s vibrant harp programme. This masterclass is offered as part of the Conservatory’s International Masterclass Series.

Anneleen is in Ireland to perform with ‘the new prince of the clarinet’ Dionysis Grammenos performing the premiere of a new Music Network commission by Irish composer and DIT Conservatory lecturer, Anne-Marie O’Farrell, as well as works by Schumann, Smetana and Verdi.
