Product Design

Making a Show will be launched on Thursday 01 June and will be open to the public daily until Saturday 10 June DIT Grangegorman

Students of Product Design at DIT have the unique experience of studying with engineers, with designers and with business developers.  Their challenge is to create new and aesthetically pleasing responses to problems that have not yet been solved, and to make them commercially viable.  Students work closely with potential users of their devices and with professionals in related fields to effectively address the problem they have identified.

The graduating class of Product Designers in DIT will showcase their designs at the 2017 Graduate Exhibition in DIT Grangegorman.  Making a Show will be launched on Thursday 01 June and will be open to the public daily until Saturday 10 June.

Darragh Hughes’ "HappyHaler" is a fun, friendly and interactive asthmatic “spacer” that aims to reduce the stress of using inhalers for younger asthma sufferers whilst accurately deliver the required dosage.‌

Ronan Hand's "enso" uses rotary hydroponics in his product to encourage domestic growing of plants such as kitchen herbs and salads. The circular device reduces space usage and light energy consumption, and rotates twice an hour to deliver the optimum amount of water and nutrients to the plants.”
