Elements, an Office Furniture system designed by Assistant Head of School, John Walsh, has been shortlisted for a prestigious international Design Award.
Elements was designed with Conor Farrell of Farrell Furniture, Ireland's largest office Furniture Manufacturer. The firm employs 120 people in Ardee and to date the Elements system has been chosen for major installations for clients including the HSE, Tenable Networks, and Combilift.
Elements is a height adjustable, sit-stand furniture system that puts users, ergonomics, comfort and health-working at the fore of the office environment. Its flexibility means it can be assembled in multiple configurations to suit a wide range of environments. Elements promotes activity in the workplace, as research has shown sedentary behaviour can lead to lifestyle related diseases.
The product is finalist in the FX International Interior Design Awards which take place at the Grosvenor Hotel, London on 28 November 2018.
