Background

Dr Niamh O’Malley is a visual artist, using video, drawing, painting & sculpture to examine ways in which we try to access the world through images. She completed a PhD in practice-led research at University of Ulster, 2004.

Recent solo exhibitions include Glasshouse, Bluecoat, Liverpool (2016) Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin, (2015) Project Arts Centre (2013), The Mayo Collaborative (5 venue solo exhibition (2013) Hå Gamle Prestegard, Norway (2012) Group Exhibitions include Glucksman Gallery, Cork,  Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum Michigan, Galleria Civica di Modena, White Box, NY & The Model, Sligo, TULCA, Galway, EVA, Limerick Kilkenny Arts Festival. Irish Museum of Modern Art. Her work is in the collections of IMMA, The Hugh Lane, Dublin City Gallery and the OPW amongst others.
