Robert Tully, Adv. Dip. In Environmental Design (Furniture) MA Higher Education
Robert Tully is currently a senior lecturer in design at the DIT School of Art, Design & Printing and currently works on both the BA(Design) and the BSc. in Product Design. His main teaching focus is on creativity and innovation.
Roberts early research work focussed on the European furniture industry but more recently he has been involved in a number of European research projects including eCIT and creaCIT, both of which developed creative elearning LE’s. Other research interests are in the area of creative pedagogies and the development of design thinking and design research.
Roberts professional experience has been across interior design, furniture design, graphic design with projects for national and international clients in Ireland, UK, Italy and Finland. Robert has also undertaken consultancy projects for the European Commission, Enterprise Ireland, and Industrial Development Board (NI).
Roberts professional work also crosses into the field of painting and sculpture with work exhibited in many Irish and international galleries, with works commissioned for both private and corporate collections.
