James Rock began his career as a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology and worked for a number of years in a variety of kitchen positions with national and international organisations in Switzerland, USA, the UK and Ireland. He has won many major awards and medals in international culinary competitions and has represented Ireland as a judge and mentor in the Culinary Arts at international seminars and competitions. In addition to his extensive professional qualifications he holds a degreee in Technology and Education.
His current research interest is in developing new models of culinary training
at the interface and higher education.
