Dignity at Work Policy – Workshop for Managers

Course Aim:

To enable managers fulfil their role and responsibilities under the DIT Dignity at Work Policy

Course Objectives/Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the context including the Employment Equality Acts, the Health, Safety and Welfare at Work Act and the DIT Policy and Procedures
  • Be able to measure bullying, harassment and sexual harassment using contemporary measures and reference to leading practice
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a manager
  • Understand their own prejudices and avoid the pitfalls
  • Have a full understanding of the need to maintain a positive working environment and to apply fair processes
  • Understand how to evaluate the options available for addressing the issues
  • Be confident in managing the procedures – informal and formal in relation to allegations of bullying or harassment in the workplace
