The Access Fund - An investment in the next generation

The DIT Access Programme is the cornerstone of DIT's commitment to ensuring that students from areas of socio-economic disadvantage are supported to securing the education they deserve at DIT.

Students who come to DIT on the Access Programme are all from areas of socio-economic disadvantage where progression rates to higher education are much lower (less than 30%) than other areas. Many are the first in their families to go to college.

"The Access programme has made a great impact to my DIT experiences............................. I feel I wouldn’t have had as much confidence and security had they not been there for me and I want to contribute to what the Access programme has done for me to others." - Turlough O'Hara, 2nd Year Physics Student at DIT

The Access Fund gives DIT alumni, staff and friends the opportunity to invest in the future of these young people by making a donation to support their education. The Access Fund is restricted to supporting access students who need it most and who struggle to make ends meet.‌

Please make a donation here today and help us invest in the next generation. See how you can make a difference here.
