DIT Foundation welcomes green light for Grangegorman development
The development of the new Dublin Institute of Technology campus in Grangegorman in Dublin’s north inner-city has been officially launched by An Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen TD. The new campus will locate all of the DIT activities across the city in one location.
Welcoming the Government announcement, Mr Jim Kelly, CEO of the DIT Foundation, said:
‘DIT Foundation is delighted that the Government has given the official go-ahead for the Grangegorman project. This announcement marks a significant milestone in the history of DIT that staff, current students and graduates can celebrate. The construction of a single, integrated campus in a prime location the heart of Dublin will ensure the continued success and development of DIT. Future generations of DIT students, the surrounding community and the city as a whole will benefit enormously from this world class development.”
