Mr Jim Kelly, CEO, DIT Foundation, congratulated David and Rachael and thanked the mini-marathon team for their fundraising efforts.
“I’d like to congratulate to David and Rachael on their scholarships and wish them the best of luck with their studies. It was great to see staff, students and graduates working together and hopefully we’ll have more members of the DIT community involved in next year’s race,” he said.
Sinead McEntee, DIT Access Service, said “David and Rachael are both excellent students and we were delighted to select them for these scholarships. Being part of the DIT team in the mini-marathon was great fun and it’s very pleasing to see that the sponsorship raised has directly benefited students. We're already looking forward to next year!"
David and Rachael are both students in the College of the Built Environment and Engineering in DIT Bolton Street. David is studying for an MSc in Applied Construction Management while Rachael is studying for an MSc in Community & Local Development.
