DIT Foundation is delighted that 9 projects were chosen, from 23 applications, to receive grant funding from the DIT Foundation.
We would like to thank the DIT Foundation donors for their generous support and everyone who took the time to apply. Unfortunately we can’t offer funding to all projects.
The 2013 DIT Annual Fund Grant Successful Projects are:

Recasting Plunkett Tower - School of Architecture - Student presentation of drawings, models and brochure to DCC and Ballymun Regeneration in relation to the retention of James Plunkett Tower

Caring Students Network Group - Campus Life - Support from DIT Annual Fund to set up support network for DIT students that are sole/joint carers of family and loved ones in circumstances such as mental or physical disability, drug or alcohol misuse, breveament or other circumstances where they may be providing support.

Consignation - Grangegorman - Past, Present & Future multi-media exhibition in Dublin on past, present and future of Grangegorman.

DIT Ace Career Launch pad - Access & Civic Engagement - Internship Programme for 2 DIT Access Students to help develop skills for the graduate job market. This is a pilot project run by the Team at DIT Access and Civic Engagement.

DIT Conservatory of Music & Drama Performance Agency - The Performance Agency will generate work and experience for students at the DIT Conservatory like Valdis Thorkelsdottir (above) who studies Trumpet as part of B.Mus.

DIT Aspergers Social Group - Campus Life - Organisation of weekly social meetings for students with Aspergers, Autism, ADD and ADHD by the team from DIT Campus Life.

Unestablished – A Pop-up space to showcase visual communications and design at DIT by Visual Communication students Aine Gibbons & Treasa Burns. The show also involved the launch of a book documenting the studio in DIT Mount Joy Square.

Formula Student - Support for Formula 1 Team's participation in 2013 Formula Student Competition at Silverstone. A student and staff team from DIT Bolton Street spends months researching, planning, building and testing their very own Formula 1 car.

Muro Street Art Event - An exciting, innovative and free street art event coordinated by DIT student Anna Tosatto that involved a series of commissioned murals on public view in the heart of Dublin city, mural installations, an exhibition, debate and workshop in Exchange Dublin.
