2016 Travel Scholar in Renewable Energy

Deidre Wolff is the 2016 Travel Scholar in Renewable Energy at DIT
Deirdre is currently in Kenya where she will work with the charity Renewable World for 3 months on a number of renewable energy projects they are working on at community level in Kenya.
Deidre is a PhD student in the Dublin Energy Lab at DIT Bolton Street under the supervision of Professor Aidan Duffy. Deidre’s thesis title is ‘Uncertainty Analysis in Life Cycle Assessment studies’ and she is due to complete her PhD in the coming months. She also holds a BSc in Chemistry and a Masters in Sustainable Energy and Green Technologies.

Deirdre is the 5th Travel Scholar in Renewable Energy, a programme which has grown in strength since its beginning and has offered DIT students a life changing opportunity to work in the developing world. The programme is supported by a generous donor to DIT.
