Panelto Foods is a privately owned Irish company established in 2004. The highly automated plant produces high quality authentic sandwich breads for the UK and Irish market. The company is based in Longford, Ireland, and has a 50,000 sq ft, highly automated bakery which is BRC Grade A approved.
With a total team of 160, the company has invested yearly in technology improvements. This has been driven by a lean supply chain philosophy with a customer and consumer focused approach.

Panelto Scholarships for the School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology
Scholarship Details
The Panelto Scholarship for the School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology is open to all students of the DT418 Bakery and Pastry degree programme in Year 2, 3, and 4.
A Scholarship of €3,000 will be awarded to the successful student and will be based on the highest performing student in each year.
The successful student will also have the opportunity to complete a summer internship with Panelto.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 24th of October.

Scholarship Details
The Panelto Scholarships for the School of Mechanical and Design Engineering is open to the below students:
- 2nd year students of DT003a - Bachelor of Engineering Tec Automation Engineering (1 place)
- 3rd year students of DT022 - Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical Engineering and DT023 - Bachelor of Engineering Manufacturing Engineering (2 places)
A Scholarship of €3,000 will be awarded to the successful students and will be based on academic performance and engagement with the world of engineering.
Work Placement & Internship
As part of the Panelto Scholarship, the awarded DT003a student will complete a work placement commencing in February 2018 and will have the opportunity to complete a summer internship with Panelto.
The awarded DT022 and DT023 students will also have the opportunity to complete a summer internship with Panelto.
