Biography

 

C. M. Iftekhar Hussain has been working as a full time PhD researcher at Dublin Energy Lab, DIT from October 2014. His research area is techno-economic analysis of hybrid solar biomass electricity generation in Europe. Iftekhar is specialized in solar system integration with national grid and has experience of over 600 kWp on/off grid solar PV system installation and commissioning. He worked with both government and private sectors in Bangladesh and successfully led multiple large scale projects. Prior to joining Bangladesh renewable energy industry, he obtained MSc. in Engineering Project and Systems Management from Kingston University London in 2012. As part of the MSc. thesis, Iftekhar worked on Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) with storage system in the context of Bangladesh. The research work was jointly collaborated with Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) and Kingston University London. He completed BSc. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from BRAC University in 2008 and later joined Control and Applications Research Centre as a research associate.
