Biography
Marius Claudy, BA (University of Erfurt), MSc (University of St Andrews), is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the Dublin Energy Lab’s 'Energy Policy in Domestic Building Group'. His research concerns energy efficiency behaviour of Irish households. His demand-side focused research aims to identify key barriers and drivers to investment into energy efficient renovations. The findings will ultimately be translated into policy tools that increase energy-efficient technology uptake in domestic buildings.
Marius has a background in Economics and Social Science with a strong focus on environmental issues. In his Master Thesis for example he evaluated health costs associated with levels of pollution stemming from urban road transport in the city of Dortmund (Germany). Before Marius joined the DIT he worked for two years as a Government Economist for the Department for Work and Pensions in London, UK.
