Quantum - Green Way Project

The Quantum – Greenway project is investigating how space heating systems can be used to remotely switch distributed populations of energy stores in response to an operational command.  This trial aims to demonstrate how demand response can facilitate even greater levels of renewable energy (40% target for 2020) on the electricity network.   The project is currently operational and is collecting data from approximately 360 space heaters in 170 dwellings in Cabra and Mulhuddard.  The project partners include; Glen Dimplex, Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, DIT, DCU and DAA.
