A second round of the 2014 Fiosraigh Scholarship Programme has ben announced by Dr Brian O’Neill, Director of Research,  Enterprise and Innovation Services.  The Fiosraigh Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to highly qualified individuals in areas in which DIT has leading expertise.   Research proposals should be aligned with the Institute's key research themes:

  • Environment, Energy and Health
  • Information, Communications and Media Technologies 
  • New Materials and Devices
  • Society, Culture and Enterprise

The EPRC would welcome applications in the areas aligned to the Centre, including Energy, Environment and New Materials and Devices.

A number of different scholarship options are available including:

Opportunities for New PhD Students

    • Fully funded research scholarships with a stipend of 16,000 p.a. plus fees and materials,
    • Fee & Materials support scholarships for self-funded students,  

 Opportunities for DIT Staff to recruit PhD students

    • Staff-led projects (new & experienced supervisors)
    • Enterprise collaborative projects

5th Annual Postgraduate Research Symposium - DIT

The 5th Annual Postgraduate Research Symposium which will take place on Tuesday, 25th November in the Seminar Room, Focas Research Institute, DIT Camden Row. Further details are available here. 

Research students from DIT, ITB and ITT Dublin will present the results of their work on the day at both oral and poster sessions.
